With artificial intelligence (AI) companies opening branches in Gwangju, which is becoming an epicenter of AI technology, AgileSoDA, a company specializing in artificial intelligence software based in Seoul, also recently opened a regional office named Gwangju AI Startup Camp. AgileSoDA decided to expand to Gwangju last year and signed a business agreement with Gwangju City Government last September to create an artificial intelligence business base.

AgileSoDA said the reason they chose Gwangju was because it had a world-class artificial intelligence ecosystem and a passion for promoting artificial intelligence-oriented city projects. For instance, last year, AgileSoDA developed an NLP solution with research funds from Gwangju's AI (City) Product Development Support Project, which contributed immensely to the AI ecosystem for the finance sector.
